Toyota Motor Kyushu Co., Ltd.(Located in Miyawaka City, Fukuoka, President: Iwao Nihashi) and TRIART,INC. (Located in Iizuka City, Fukuoka, CEO: Kentaro Imazu) have developed a secure camera solution that enables the use of iPhone’s camera functions for business while retaining corporate secrets, and have utilized it in Toyota Motor Kyushu’s operations. Recently, they added a feature that enables video recording to this solution and started its business application.
Toyota Kyushu and TRIART have developed a secure camera solution that uses Apple’s iPhone for centralized management from photo shooting to image storage viewing and have been pilot testing it in Toyota Motor Kyushu’s automobile production operations since April 2014. Recently, they newly developed a feature that supports video recording in addition to the existing still photography functions.
Video data has a much larger file size than still images, making it difficult to upload to a dedicated server without storing the data on the device used for filming. Furthermore, the transmission of data files requires encryption. For this reason, using TRIART’s unique technology and know-how in server processing involving communication, we have implemented a feature that securely and reliably uploads video data recorded on a device to a dedicated server without storing it on the device.
This solution was fully developed by TRIART in Iizuka City, Fukuoka, as part of the “Rediscovering and Utilizing the Power of Kyushu” regional collaboration initiative, a component of Toyota Motor Kyushu’s corporate vision.
