We have started the pilot operation of the “Image Judgment Inspection Support System” for inspecting product labels using a camera-equipped PC.

 TRIART Inc. (Headquarters: Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Representative Director: Kentaro Imazu) will start the development and test operation of a pilot version of the “Image Judgment Inspection Support System (tentative name).” This system detects target strings or images from the descriptions of product packages, etc. using a camera and displays differences compared to master (model) drawing.

 Our company has utilized our proprietary Composite AI *1 technology, which achieves high-precision image recognition capabilities, to provide the Image Comparison System “MIIDEL *2” that instantly detects changes between old and new documents that are often overlooked by the human eye. Additionally, we have developed a Predictive Defect Detection System *3, which detects defects such as cracks in parts from thermal camera images in manufacturing plants.

 Amidst this, we have received numerous requests for assistance in inspection tasks that involve matching the contents of each label on a large quantity of manufactured products, etc. with a master (model). This led us to develop the pilot version of the “Image Judgment Inspection Support System” (tentative name). We will begin operational testing with some companies for the purpose of accuracy verification and usability testing in inspection sites.

 In this pilot version, the system automatically detects the target string or graphics in the images captured by the camera attached to the PC*4 , compares them with master data, and displays and records the difference images and matching rates. Unlike Stationary desktop PC or Factory-embedded system, this system is designed for operation on notebook PCs or tablets, and then providing mobility and real-time performance for inspection work. Supporting of automating the inspection tasks traditionally performed by human visual inspection is expected to significantly reduce both time and costs associated with the operation.

 Throughout this test operation, we assumption the system to be used for general-purpose in manufacturing departments, quality control departments, accounting departments, and other areas where inspection tasks occur, and then After reflecting the test results and optimizing the composite AI engine, we will aim to provide the commercial version as soon as possible.
