On October 4th, our CEO, Kentaro Imazu, delivered as a presentation of keynote speech at the “Imabari Innovation Consortium Kickoff Event” held in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. The theme of the presentation was “Arrival of the AI Era – Anticipated Structural Changes in Society and the Creation of New Industries,” where he discussed the potential of future production sites in the near future.
The consortium is an initiative of Imabari City that aims to enhance the competitiveness of the region by nurturing innovation, DX, and AI human resources throughout the city to create new value for local businesses with experiences that cannot be obtained in large cities, and to make the region more competitive. After the presentation, a talk session was held with Imabari Mayor Shigeki Tokunaga and other leaders from companies representing Imabari, and we had a heated discussion that renewed our hopes for manufacturing originating from the region.
In the everyone can easily benefit from advanced technology like remarkable development of AI, etc., this consortium aims to foster “future on-site solution capabilities” throughout the region as an innovation city is one of the pioneering efforts of a number of regional cities.
