On October 4, our CEO Kentaro Imazu gave a keynote presentation at the Imabari Innovation Consortium kickoff event in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. Under the theme “The Dawn of the AI Era: Social Structural Changes Ahead and the Creation of New Industries,” he discussed the potential of near-future production sites.
The consortium is an Imabari City initiative to nurture innovation, DX, and AI talent throughout the city, with the goal of helping regional businesses create new value through experiences unavailable in major cities and strengthening regional competitiveness. After the keynote, we held a lively discussion with Imabari Mayor Shigeki Tokunaga and leaders of companies representing Imabari, deepening our expectations for manufacturing driven by local communities.
As rapidly developing AI and other advanced technologies become accessible to everyone, this consortium aims to build future problem-solving capabilities across the region as an innovation city.
